سعيد محمودي ازناوه سال 1346 در تهران متولد شد . عكاسي را از سال 1368 هم زمان با تحصيل در رشته حفاظت و مرمت آثار تاريخي آغاز كرد. عكاسي معماري ، دلمشغولي اصلي اوست . هر چند عكاسي از زندگي و طبيعت ايران نيز از نگاهش دور نمانده است .

كارنامه بيش از ده سال زندگي هنري او در معرفي فرهنگ و تمدن غني كشورمان ؛ حضور در بيش از چهل نمايشگاه گروهي عكس در ايران ، هلند ، اسپانيا ، تركيه ، سوريه ، و برگزاري هفت نمايشگاه انفرادي طي سال هاي 1373 تا 1380 ، چاپ آثار در نشريات متعدد ايراني و خارجي و كتاب هاي ايرانشناسي و نيز به صورت پوستر ، كارت پستال و ... است .

محمودي ازناوه سال 1378 در ارزشيابي هنرمندان ايران ، درجه ممتاز عكاسي را از وزارت فرهنگ و ارشاد اسلامي ايران دريافت كرده است .

Biography abstract

Sa'eed Mahmoodi Aznaveh was born in Tehran in 1968. He took up photography in 1989 , alongside his studies in the preservation and restoration of historic artifacts. While his main interest lies with architectural photography, he does not forgo photographing Iran's life and nature.

In his ten-year-long career devoted to introducing our country's culture and civilization, he has taken part in more than forty group exhibitions in Iran, the Netherlans, Spain, Turkey and Syriya, and also held seven individual exhibitions between 1993 and 2001 . His photographs have been reproduced in numerous Iranian and foreign publications and books dealing with Iranian studies, as well as in posters, postcards, etc.

Mahmoodi Aznaveh was awarded the degree of excellence in photography during the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance's 1999 assessment of Iranian artists.
